Happy Burns Day!

In honor of the birthday of the Bard of Ayershire, Scotland’s favorite son, Robert Burns, I though I would post a photo of Ayershire’s next most important product, my great-great-grandmother, Jessie McKellan. Jessie was born in Kilmarnock in 1855, just a stone’s throw from Burns’ birthplace, about 70 years after Burns penned his most well-known (to Americans) poem, Auld Lang Syne.
